Like every good story, ours started in a home kitchen: a little too much tahini, a lot of taste-testing, and friends who wouldn’t stop asking for “more of those balls, please.”
 

Back in 2018, Adi Walter turned her Mediterranean roots and lifelong love of flavour into something bigger than the weekend catering hustle.
What started as small-batch falafel for mates and local cafés quickly outgrew the kitchen (and the fridge... and the garage freezer).
 

So we scaled, not by cutting corners, but by keeping the heart of it. Same recipe. Same obsession with texture. Same "crispy on the outside, soft in the middle" standard. Just a bit more space. And a few more chickpeas.

Today, Cheeky Pea feeds venues big and small - from bustling cafés to top-notch caterers - all from our Sydney factory.

 

Because when something’s made with love (and chickpeas), people notice.
